Viral marketing for Corpse Bride
The problem with advertising for movies is that most box-office hits don't really need it. The fact that a movie theater invests in showing the movie is most of the time more than enough to get the PR- and Word-of-mouth machine rolling. Throwing in some extra advertising just might add a few extra percentages, but distributors often don't consider it worth the effort.
That's why I love this campaign for Tim Burtons latest movie Corpse Bride. It featured two campaign sites. The first one is bonymail.com, in which you can compose a bony mail (as shown on the picture) and send it to a friend. The second one is Ask The Dead, in which you can ask a question to the dead or let the dead compose a message for your friends. Both campaigns stimulated people to share the Corpse Bride brand experience with their friends. I think that's a very clever use of interactive advertising in a category that thrives mainly on PR and Word-of-mouth.

I have to say looks as though you have got the honest substance of the situation for the moment. While numerous seem to have omitted the key thought of everything, that which is expressed higher up is crystal clear and on the money. I am avoiding sounding out that I concur on every one of the items; all the same, I must say you managed to have imparted me grounds to pause and think of many of the details that I considered that I withstood as single-minded notions in that regards. Powerfully told, and it is now for myself to ponder a bit more along some of some of outstanding items. Summarizin I would have to say you've written many good points.
Love the honest style and tons of great info on your blog – makes everyone comfortable and want to come back.
I have seen a lot of bad movies with a good advertise! It is true that most good movies don't need an ad but there are some that they just get out there and you are like: WOW! Remember "Lord of the Rings" or "Harry Potter"? Well I watched them because of their trailers!
If you have a TypeKey or TypePad account, please
I guess that marketing plays an important part in making any type of message heard. It doesn't matter if it's a movie or a business. Marketing is a tool which can deliver a products to clients in a way that clients understand it and in a way that it makes the products desirable.
Frankly, no. I'd much rather they pay more attention to policing the servers over anything else, particularly since there are more overseas GMs than there are in the US office. Every now and then Korlash has the Ask A Producer question session that appears on the Turkish forums, but that's about the extent of it.

Although box-office movies often don't need any more advertising because the media and especially the social media is already talking about them. But, if anything manages to become viral on the internet, it's bound to get a huge boost in views and profits. The tricky part is to come up with such an idea that has the potential of becoming viral.
I saw this movie in DVD. I like the plot especially the part when the corpse bride was set free from her bitterness and misery.

Looks kind of scary. I think advertising movies is great. I do not know why you do not share the same opinion. This is because if you advertise then you get to reach a wider audience.
I enjoyed reading your article and I find it very useful.Advertising is not so easy and I guess those who are good at this deserve congratulations.
