A taste of Ryanair's social media strategy

"Ryanair can confirm that a Ryanair staff member did engage in a blog discussion. It is Ryanair policy not to waste time and energy corresponding with idiot bloggers and Ryanair can confirm that it won't be happening again."

twitter users vs twitter sceptics - live from our office

Despite the massive takeup of Twitter in the last couple of months, the initial debate about whether the microblogging service is useful or useless still rages on, as testified by this email conversation on our officefloor.

(19 minuten geleden)

Obama's remarkable behind the scenes Flickr-stream

Barack Obama has a Flickr account. Upon which his campaign team posts a continous stream of behind-the-scenes material. You have to see this one: backstage pictures taken with a simple digital camera, right in the room where the Obama's are awaiting the results.

the magic button

Yves ,the boondoggle html developer who did a great job making the b-side work, is at it again. He added a sweet little magic button to our homepage. At the same time, we added a new background: some photos from the recent ice hockey match against DG. Great stuff Yves, thanks ! Do check it out...

New Arsenal single through widget

Our friends at Wieni created this widget in which the new Arsenal single is released. I first of all like this original way of releasing and marketing this new song. Second: I like the live data that is included in this widget. You get a live overview on comments and number of plays. A perfect call to action. BTW: It made a nice travel through social media. I got it via a post on my Facebook Funwall through a mutual friend of Jelle from Wieni and I. And now it bubbles up on the blog. So what's going to be the next station?

BTW: it's a really good song. Listen and judge for yourself

  • Getting Things done apps zoals Nozbe, Things en Remember the Milk (Ruben & Eduard & Polle)
  • Groene thee voor betere concentratie (Ruben)
  • Een Indiaanse virtuele Assistent (!) (Eduard)
  • The CoffeeCompany as afspraakplek (Polle)

Do you work with workhacks?

In cooperation with Digibewust.nl we started the blog www.workhacks.nl. Workhacks.nl has the ambition to grow into an inspiring blog about/regarding work hacks. Work hacking is about hacking the workplace. We are currently looking for tips, examples of smart tools to make life in the office more fun, efficient and easier.

We are working on a series of blog posts in which we describe the 3-5 favourite work hacks of Dutch and Flamish top bloggers. For this purpose we would like to ask Flamish and Dutch bloggers reading the Boonbloggle to share their smart work hacks with us. In short, do you have a special, smart way of working of which you are very proud? Do you use a tool that saves you much time? Let us know by sending us an email to workhacksblog@gmail.com with below mentioned information and we will put it in a blog post. A short description is enough; we will take it from there. If you prefer to write about it in your own blog, that’s great too. Just let us know and we will set up a link to your blog.

Tool 3.  (name tool) & wat does it do?
Tool 4.  (name tool) & wat does it do?
Tool 5.  (name tool) & wat does it do?

Check out the workhacks of webexperts Bart De Waele and Hendrik De Backer on www.workhacks.nl.

For the people that have invented their own work hack and use it in their company we have set up the Jo Aerts award (http://www.joaertsaward.nl/). Please let us know if you (or someone in your network) knows remarkable persons that should be nominated for this award.  Let us know by sending us an email to workhacksblog@gmail.com. Any hint or tip is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Typepad love for boondoggle

Translation: It's not a Dutch or Flemish website, but since it's being made by a Flemish agency and because it's so well crafted: http://www.mrtayto.ie. A great example of how a Typepad blog is seaminly integrated with the rest of the website. And all of this in a very well executed lay-out. BTW: Boondoggle also uses Typepad for their company blog, which is absolutely worth reading for everyone in the advertising branche.

My first blogpost about and from within Flock

What a smooth integrated experience.
Sorry Firefox: I have a new lover :-)
This really feels like a social network management tool.
